Housing Update

As you are probably aware, the housing from the LWML contracted hotels in downtown Mobile is very scarce. We are thankful for a great response in planning to attend the 2019 LWML Convention. Attendees can still call and see if there are rooms available downtown, since there could have been a cancellation or two, but from what I know, there are only King rooms available. Check to see if the King room has a pull out sofa or a rollaway available if more accommodations are needed.

Otherwise, LWML has contracted with another hotel – Holiday Inn Mobile West I-10 located about 10 miles from downtown. We have Double/Double rooms (1-4 per room) there. The accommodations also include hot buffet breakfast and transportation to and from the Convention Center in the morning and returning in the evening according to the times of the hotel shuttle bus downtown. If arriving from the airport, shuttle accommodations can be made, but have to be made at least 24 hours prior to pick up or departure. Other hotel amenities include: complimentary guest laundry, microwave, mini-refrigerator, safe, iron & ironing board, Keurig coffee maker & coffee, bath amenities, and hair dryer.

You may reach the Holiday Inn Mobile West I-10 directly by calling 1-251-666-5600 to make your individual reservations. A credit card number will be requested to guarantee the reservation of the room. The cost of the room is $109 per night plus taxes.

Please share this with your members who are seeking housing accommodations for the Mobile Convention. Thanks for all your continued support. We are looking forward to welcoming you and members from your district to Mobile in proclaiming “In Praise to the LORD!” Please keep all in prayer asking God’s guidance and protection as we gather for His convention.
