FOOD FOR THE SOUL
For weeks, I’ve been trying to come up with a “clever” idea for this article, reflecting on Thanksgiving or Christmas. Then it hit me! Simple is best! Think about it. So many people work so hard to make Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations more elaborate and memorable than the last.
But, God did simple: a simple manger, a simple cross, a simple empty tomb. Yet, Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection have been remembered for centuries, and have a greater impact on our lives now and in eternity than any celebration we plan.
Thank you, Lord, for using the simple things of this world to bring salvation through your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
