A Special Tribute to Teen LWML Coordinator

January 31, 1955 – September 4, 2014
- by her Pastor, Rev. Barrie E. Henke
Love Ya, Bye!
From time to time God intersects our life with His soft touch
To remind us in our earthly walk that He loves us all so much.
Sometimes His touch may be His word that tells about His Son
Who came and died and rose again – great victory He has won!
Sometimes His touch can be His voice, a whisper in the night –
Reminding us when God’s in charge that life will be all right.
Sometimes His touch can come to us when riddled with much pain,
Easing hurts and wiping tears and promising great gain.
Sometimes His touch can come to us all hidden in a smile,
That shines on us with joyful eyes from one who is His child.
We’ve felt God’s touch within our lives through Susan Bieber’s life:
She was a friend, grandma and mom, a sister and a wife.
God worked through her in many ways to share His love and grace
So that through her we just might glimpse into our Savior’s face.
She’d work on jobs around this church and seldom would she groan;
Her serving was to help the kids and praise her Lord alone!
She’d walk these hallways on many days with apron tied and stained;
She’d feed a hundred people here and seem somewhat unstrained!
She loved her Special Olympians – they touched her very heart;
Within her life they held for her a very special part.
Often those so close to her would hear her parting cry
For with a conversations’ end, she would say, "Love ya’ – bye!"
Now today, with heavy hearts and many eyes not dry,
We must bid the same to her, "Dear Susan, love ya’ – bye!"
But someday when our Lord returns, and death itself shall die,
We’ll bask in Jesus’ gracious love and never say "Good bye!"
